ScratchBang Community Guidelines

On ScratchBang, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with other artists and fans. You’ll encounter people who think, believe, or see things differently than you do. In each corner of ScratchBang — from profile pages to subscriber-only areas — we aim to provide a safe and supportive place for all members of the community. The Community Guidelines exist to help you understand what it means to be a member in good standing of the community and to protect the ScratchBang platform. Your use of ScratchBang is subject to these Community Guidelines and to our Terms of Service. We reserve the right to suspend or remove users who violate these guidelines.

Just like Mom said:

• Play nice.
• Be cool.
• Have fun.
• Floss.
• Respect others.

Some things Mom may not have covered:

• No bullying, harassment, threats, hate speech, or general creepiness. Don’t post objectionable, hateful, or obscene content. Don’t post anything that promotes or glorifies self-harm. Don’t post anyone’s personal information. No illegal behavior. That includes, but isn’t limited to, fraud, phishing, money laundering, or inciting violence.
• Don’t disrupt ScratchBang operations or abuse users. No to spam. Yes to interacting with others as if you were face to face. Yes to honesty. No to excess posts, messages, etc. No to deception. No to impersonation. No to misrepresentation. No to flooding the system with data in an attempt to disrupt the service. No to any system or resource abuse. Yes to quality content. Yes to meaningful communication. Yes to questions and answers. Yes to supporting each other.
• Don’t upload certain types of content. Yes to art; no to porn. If an artist’s work includes depictions of nudity or sexuality that have an artistic or creative purpose, it’s acceptable for the artist to express that on a profile page. However, posting content depicting explicit sexual acts or content mainly focused on sexual stimulation is not allowed.
• Don’t upload content that you don’t own or don’t have rights to post. See the Copyright & Trademark Infringement section of our Terms for more details.

If you see content that violates our Community Guidelines or Terms, please contact us with a detailed description about where the content appears. To report user violations, please contact us with details of the violation.

If we determine that you are violating our Community Guidelines, you may receive a sternly-worded email notice from us. If you don’t correct the violation or explain your actions, we may take steps including, but not limited to, suspending your account or removing content. We may act without notice, for any reason, but in particular to protect other users, the ScratchBang community, our services, and systems. We reserve the right to modify the Community Guidelines, and to enforce or not to enforce these guidelines at our sole discretion. No contractual obligation or duty is created by these guidelines for us to act in any particular way.

If you don’t feel that you can follow the Community Guidelines, then we may not be a good fit. But if you can participate in our safe and supportive community, then we’ll be glad you’re here.
